  • The New House Design, a Shelter of Comfort | HK Design Studio

The client envisions the new house design as a shelter of comfort. Less really is more; keep the foundation of the home simple and pure, curating every piece of space with intent. They desired to have a simple, clean interior yet be vibrant and bold. “We created a minimalist space that looks warm and welcoming.”

A minimalist design concept is reflected not only in the furniture design but also in the mood and the color palette used throughout the apartment. The new house design is a spectacular blend. A subtle blend of black tones, grooves, light wood furniture, and varied kinds of lights is definitely a treat for the eyes of a spectator. The color palette is used throughout the apartment, which boosts the size of the apartment.

    Entrance

In order to have a very welcoming entrance, we have introduced a list of a few elements that will glam up this place. Upon entrance, to the left is a sleek, multipurpose storage unit where fluted glass seems to go hand in hand with matte black painted mdf.

    Living room

The entrance foyer takes you to the formal living room via the main entrance. Walking into the living room, you will see straight lines and minimal modern furniture, combined with cozy décor items such as flower pots, large cushions, and throw blankets. Also, the lamp, the center table, the clock, and the plant are the things that grab attention. White walls and wooden decor are the perfect match. This color duo helps to add a sense of warmth and coziness and also helps you design a space that is aesthetic, elegant, and minimal.

    Dining

The dining table has the ideal minimalist design. It features a sleek dark wood countertop with criss-cross legs and wooden seating chairs. The subtle design of this minimalist dining table set comes with no fussy or unnecessary embellishments. It looks sleek and adequate for any modern Indian apartment.

    Kitchen

Functional and sleek, the kitchen displays a soothing pastel visual with a pale turquoise and a combination of black colors. An integral room of the home, it is designed to be clutter-free without the addition of unnecessary appliances and wares.

Integrated fluted glass into a semi-open kitchen’s window, sliding door, and glass cabinet doors are one of those additions to a kitchen that instantly elevates its aesthetic, bringing a sense of airiness and real refinement and breaking up the visual monotony of rows of cabinets.

    Bedrooms

A minimalist bedroom isn’t limited to just black and white. The moody painted walls pictured mesh well with the simplicity of the rest of the room.

We used pale coral and a headboard of dark magenta, courtesy of beautiful flowers and a small bedside plant—a simple way to keep guest bedroom things feeling fresh without causing clutter.

    Master Bedroom

This minimalist master bedroom is in perfect harmony to create the perfect couple’s minimalist bedroom! In the master bedroom, we have used coffee and a dark blue color, which can feel equally streamlined.

Overall, every corner of this new house design gives off a calming and clutter free vibe, which is an absolute must in today’s day and age with so much chaos in the outside world that we all deal with.
